Restriction remains in force across 10 local government areas as security agencies intensify rescue operations around the Old Oyo National Park.
The Oyo State Government has extended the 16-hour curfew imposed across 10 local government areas by an additional 24 hours as security agencies continue efforts to rescue the abducted teachers and schoolchildren in Oriire Local Government Area.
The curfew, which runs daily from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., remains in effect in communities surrounding the Old Oyo National Park.

The affected local government areas are Oriire, Orelope, Irepo, Saki West, Saki East, Atisbo, Itesiwaju, Iseyin, Olorunsogo, and Atiba.
The state government said the extension is aimed at supporting ongoing security operations and restricting the movement of criminal elements in the affected areas.
Residents have been urged to comply fully with the directive while security agencies intensify efforts to secure the safe release of the abducted victims and restore normalcy to the affected communities.
