Pupils Transitioning to JSS1 for 2026/2027 Academic Session

The Oyo State Government has announced the release of results from the 2026 Placement Screening Exercise for admission into Junior Secondary Schools across the state.

The Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan on Friday.

Oyelade said the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olusegun Olayiwola, had directed head teachers and relevant stakeholders to liaise with Local Inspectors of Education in their respective local government areas to collect the pupils’ results.

Olayiwola said the release marked another step towards ensuring a smooth, transparent and credible transition of pupils from primary schools to Junior Secondary School.

He congratulated successful candidates and urged them to remain focused and committed to their studies as they begin JSS1 in the 2026/2027 academic session.

The commissioner also encouraged the pupils to approach the new phase with seriousness, discipline and determination, stressing that continued dedication to learning would contribute to their academic success.
