Suspected thugs reportedly stormed the Ondo State House of Assembly complex, disrupting legislative activities and allegedly seeking to prevent the removal of Speaker Olamide Oladiji.
The Ondo State House of Assembly complex was thrown into chaos on Thursday after suspected thugs reportedly invaded the premises amid an ongoing impeachment battle involving the Speaker, Olamide Oladiji.
The alleged invaders reportedly arrived at the Assembly complex unexpectedly and moved through hallways and offices, creating panic among lawmakers and administrative staff.

Sources said the suspected thugs were allegedly mobilised to prevent the purported removal of Oladiji, who has been facing an impeachment move by some lawmakers.
The situation disrupted legislative activities as the invaders reportedly took control of parts of the premises for several minutes, leaving workers frightened.
Some administrative staff were said to have barricaded themselves inside their offices to avoid confrontation as tension heightened across the Assembly complex.
The development comes amid growing political tension within the Ondo State House of Assembly over the Speaker’s position.
