Ajibade, Oshoala and Nnadozie lead Nigeria’s title defence as coach Justine Madugu names final squad for Morocco.

Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has named a 25-player squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and star striker Asisat Oshoala leading Nigeria’s quest for an 11th continental title.

The tournament will be held in Morocco from July 26 to August 16, with the defending champions drawn in Group C alongside Egypt, Zambia and debutants Malawi.

Nigeria, Africa’s most successful women’s national team with 10 WAFCON titles, will play all their group matches in Rabat as they aim to retain their crown. The top four teams at the tournament will qualify automatically for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, while the fifth-placed team will advance to the intercontinental playoffs
