Two newborn babies among survivors as rescue efforts continue in Ifo Local Government Area.
At least three persons have been confirmed dead after a two-storey building collapsed on Baale Road in the Ajuwon area of Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The incident occurred at about 2 p.m. on Monday following a heavy downpour and shortly after a thunderstorm.

Chairman of Ifo Local Government, Kusimo Idris, disclosed that 12 occupants, including two newborn babies less than two months old, were rescued alive from the rubble.
Eyewitnesses said about 15 people were inside the building when it suddenly sank into the ground, causing the structure to cave in. The collapse reportedly brought down two floors of the building, leaving only the topmost floor partially intact.
Emergency responders were immediately mobilised to the scene to carry out rescue operations, while efforts continued to determine whether more victims remained trapped beneath the debris.
Although local authorities confirmed three fatalities, officials were yet to provide a comprehensive update on the total number of casualties or the status of ongoing rescue efforts as of the time of filing this report.
The cause of the collapse has not been officially established, but residents linked the incident to the heavy rainfall and thunderstorm that preceded the tragedy.
Authorities are expected to commence investigations into the structural integrity of the building and the circumstances surrounding the collapse.
