… says Government Working Round the Clock to Secure Victims’ Release
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has assured families of abducted teachers and students in the state that his administration is making serious efforts to secure their release.

Makinde gave the assurance on Wednesday while receiving the Deputy Governor of the state, Bayo Lawal, alongside other Muslim faithful at his private residence in Ikolaba, Ibadan, during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The governor said the state government was working round the clock to ensure that the kidnapped schoolchildren are safely reunited with their families.
He also expressed sympathy with affected families and prayed for divine intervention for those currently facing difficult moments.
The victims were abducted during coordinated attacks on Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota, Community Grammar School and L.A. Primary School, Esiele, in Oriire Local Government Area.
Makinde further called for unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians as the country gradually approaches another political season.
According to him, political differences should not divide the people, stressing that Oyo State remains a liberal and tolerant society where religion and ethnicity should not be used as tools of division.
The governor also extended Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Muslims and residents of the state, wishing them many more celebrations in good health and peace.
