…Police confirm mass kidnapping in Ayegunle Bunu, launch response operations
The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed that more than 25 persons were abducted after armed men invaded Ayegunle Bunu in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Naziru Kankarofi, made this known on Monday while addressing journalists during the Passing-Out Parade of 565 newly trained police constables held in Lokoja.
According to him, security agencies have already begun coordinated efforts to track the attackers and ensure the safe rescue of the victims.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over security in rural communities across the state, as residents continue to call for increased protection and rapid response to such attacks.
