… Oyo governor urges governorship hopeful to build on achievements and chart independent political path
Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde has advised the governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) , Abimbola Adekanmbi, not to inherit his political enemies but to create his own path in leadership.
Speaking during the unveiling of Adekanmbi as the party’s governorship candidate, Makinde said no leader is perfect, admitting that he also makes mistakes as a human being.
The governor encouraged Adekanmbi to focus on improving the positive achievements of the current administration rather than continuing personal political battles.
According to Makinde, leadership should centre on growth, development and building on existing progress for the benefit of the people of Oyo State.
“I have told Bimbo, ‘Don’t inherit my enemies; chart your own path. I’m only human and I make mistakes, just like everyone else. He should improve upon the good things we have done for the benefit of the people in Oyo State,’” the governor said.
