IJA EKUN Security Network has reportedly moved into forest areas as part of efforts to tackle banditry and insecurity affecting some communities.

The development comes days after Sunday Igboho announced the launch of the security outfit, describing it as an initiative aimed at strengthening local security efforts across parts of the Southwest and Kwara State.

According to claims circulating on social media, members of the group have begun operations targeting criminal elements allegedly responsible for attacks and insecurity within affected communities.

The security network is expected to complement ongoing efforts aimed at improving safety and protecting residents from bandit attacks and other criminal activities.

However, official details regarding the structure, operations and collaboration of the outfit with existing security agencies have yet to be fully disclosed.
