Security operatives intensify search for two remaining victims as Nasarawa police launch coordinated rescue operation.
Gunmen have abducted three students of the Federal University of Lafia in Nasarawa State, with police rescuing one of the victims during an ongoing search-and-rescue operation.
The Nasarawa State Police Command said the students were kidnapped on Tuesday night at Living Seed Lodge, located on the outskirts of the students’ residential area in Lafia.

Police spokesperson, SP Ramhan Nansel, said the university’s Chief Security Officer alerted the command after the attack, prompting the Commissioner of Police, Shetima Jauro Mohammed, to deploy tactical teams and patrol operatives to the scene.
The coordinated operation led to the rescue of one student, while efforts have been intensified to secure the release of the two remaining victims and arrest the kidnappers.
The police urged residents to remain calm, stay vigilant, and provide credible information that could assist security agencies in the ongoing operation.
