YOWICAN Recognises Tinubu’s Contributions to Youth Development, Peace and National Unity
Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has been honoured as a Christian Youth Peace Ambassador by the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).
The recognition was conferred on Friday during the National Christian Youth Security Summit and Thanksgiving in Abuja, where organisers commended his contributions to peace, youth development and national unity.
Seyi Tinubu was absent from the event, with former YOWICAN National Chairman/President, Belusochukwu Enwere, receiving the award on his behalf.
In his appreciation message, Tinubu said the honour came with greater responsibility to support initiatives that empower young Nigerians, promote peaceful coexistence and strengthen national unity.
He described peace as more than the absence of conflict, stressing the importance of justice, compassion, tolerance and mutual respect.
Tinubu also commended YOWICAN for encouraging Christian youths to embrace responsible leadership and contribute to community development.
He urged young Nigerians to see Nigeria’s religious, ethnic and cultural diversity as an asset rather than a source of division and pledged support for programmes promoting youth empowerment and peaceful coexistence.
The YOWICAN summit, held in Abuja from September 3 to 5, 2026, brought together Christian youth leaders and other stakeholders to discuss security, leadership and nation-building.
