First Lady says household gardening can boost food security, promote healthy living and help families cut food costs.
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has recorded another harvest from her vegetable garden at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, as part of the Every Home A Garden initiative aimed at promoting food security and household farming.

According to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the First Lady harvested fresh vegetables including spinach, waterleaf and fluted pumpkin during a routine visit to the garden.

She used the occasion to encourage Nigerians to embrace home gardening, describing it as a practical way to improve nutrition, reduce household food expenses and contribute to national food security.

The Every Home A Garden initiative is one of the First Lady’s advocacy programmes designed to encourage families to cultivate vegetables and other crops within their homes to support sustainable food production.
