Protesting students demand urgent action as repeated robbery attacks spark outrage on campus.
Students of the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, reportedly locked the institution’s Vice-Chancellor out of the university’s main gate on Tuesday during a protest over worsening insecurity and repeated robbery attacks affecting students.
The protesters accused the university management of failing to adequately address the persistent security challenges, alleging that students have continued to live in fear due to frequent attacks by suspected criminals.

The demonstration disrupted activities around the university’s entrance as students demanded immediate measures to improve security and protect lives and property on and around the campus.
The aggrieved students called on the university authorities and relevant security agencies to take decisive steps to curb the growing wave of insecurity, insisting that the safety of students should be treated as a priority.
Further details are expected as the situation develops.
