Governor Ododo says deployment of new security assets will enhance crime-fighting efforts and improve safety across the state.
The Kogi State Government has acquired 50 armoured vehicles as part of efforts to strengthen security operations and protect lives and property across the state.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo disclosed this while inspecting the first batch of five armoured vehicles that have arrived in Kogi, describing the acquisition as a major step in the administration’s fight against insecurity.

According to the governor, the vehicles will be deployed to support security agencies in tackling criminal activities, improving response times, and enhancing surveillance across vulnerable areas of the state.
Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of residents, noting that security remains a top priority for the government.
The acquisition comes amid ongoing efforts by the state government to strengthen security architecture and support law enforcement agencies in addressing emerging security challenges across Kogi State.
